Grad Thai Nguyen Named Part of 'Red Carpet's New Class' in L.A. Times
The Los Angeles Times has featured 10 Los Angeles designers who are part of the red carpet's "new class." Fashion Design Graduate Thai Nguyen, who launched Thai Nguyen Atelier in 2008, after working for BCBG, is cited for his "undeniable technical skills." Fashion writer Melissa Magsaysay says, "...he’s able to masterfully execute daring shapes, low-cut details and sheer styles to look as rich and tasteful as designs that are demure."
Thai's red carpet hits include dressing Kelly Marie Tran in a custom red, strapless gown for the premiere of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, designing Madeline Brewer's embellished black dress with sheer mesh skirt to the 2017 Television Critics Awards, and dressing Jennifer Lopez in a semi-sheer, beaded black lace dress for American Idol in 2016.
